Eddy’s Security Training provides a concealed weapons class for customers residing in Kissimmee, FL. Our personalized instruction offers state-approved firearms training for personal protection and security guards. When applying for a concealed weapons license, Florida law requires applicants to submit proof of competency with a firearm. Our gun classes are taught by a certified firearms expert that gives participants personalized attention to master competency with their firearm. Upon completing our firearms training, participants will receive a safe firearm operation certificate for submitting their concealed weapons license application. To register for the class, participants must be 21 years of age and already own a firearm.
Security guards are a growing field and are needed to help protect shopping malls, retail stores, construction sites, warehouses, and other residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The State of Florida requires security guards to have either a D-Class and/or G-Class security license.
A Class D security license allows a security officer to work in an unarmed capacity. Applicants must be at least 18 years with no felony convictions. The class provides the state-mandated 42-hours of instruction by an instructor with a Security Instructor (DI) license. Security guard students will learn about legal liability issues, ethics and professional conduct, observation techniques, and report writing, and basic emergency first aid, to name a few.
A Class G license allows a security guard or bodyguard to carry a firearm while on the job. It is unlawful in Florida for security guards or bodyguards to work with a concealed carry weapons license. The security officer firearms training is open to adults at least 18 years of age and has an Unarmed Security Guard (Class D) license. The class includes 28-hours of instruction by a Class-K Firearm Instructor as required by the State of Florida. The course provides everything a security guard needs to carry a firearm on the job, including legal uses of the firearm, civil and criminal liability, operational firearms safety, and firearms mechanical training, among others.
